About the artists:

Five and Tens are a dynamic instrumental band named after Mississauga highways 5 and 10. Known for playing smooth, laid-back sets to explosive breakdance battles, they fluidly blend jazz, funk, soul, disco, psychedelia and many other genres together. Known as the brothers in the groove, this eclectic group is known for their live performances and grassroots record label Vidal Recordings. They have built strong ties in the Toronto music community and gained a worldwide fan base over the years. Bridging the gap of young and old music lovers of jazz, soul, funk, blues and hip-hop. Their music has been streamed more than 900k times amongst 233k listeners globally being popular in US, Australia and UK. They have consistently been releasing music since 2016, with their latest album, "Life Happens to Us All '' being featured in many Spotify playlists amongst soul fans. Their song “Corner” was selected by the City of Mississauga for their 311 Call line in 2023 and featured in KHRUANGBIN VIBES VOL. 10 playlist by Mol reaching 578,335 streams making Corner their most popular song. They have received the Marty’s award for best emerging group in 2021, the Amy Louie / Grossman's Music Scholarship in 2022 and best live band at the Mississauga Music Awards in 2023. They recently put out their 4th album titled Brothers In the Groove which critics have claimed "Brothers In The Groove by the Canadian instrumental four-piece Five and Tens is a cinematic odyssey through soul, funk, and jazz." making album of the week by Dan Digs.

magenta is an alternative-pop singer-songwriter based in Toronto. As a highly emotive writer, she pulls inspiration from her own experiences and the experience of others. Her music is similar to the likes of Clairo, Gracie Abrams and Jeremy Zucker. With smooth melodies and brutally honest lyrics, magenta’s growing audience is submerged into her music and are engaged with her sound. magenta released her first single in 2021 and after that success she released her debut EP, “lost in plain sight” in March 2023. magenta has amassed over 1.5 million streams with her collaborative single “Over and Over” with French electro chill-pop artist, Lonely in the Rain. Most recently, magenta released her sophomore EP “can you see the beginning?” on March 1st 2024.

We’re located on Bloor Street, just one block west of Dufferin Street. Please enter through our restaurant entrance on Bloor, where you will be greeted by our host and directed to the Music Hall.
