The Silver Sardines are a Montreal-based folk and country band who sing songs about the small wonders and tragedies of everyday life. With musical backgrounds ranging from bluegrass to ambient and much in between, the band's forthcoming record "This Whole House" is an eclectic mix of quiet and loud, of gentle and then joyous. This all sounds rather complicated, but a Sardines' show is anything but: there shall be twang, and harmonizing, and a little bit of wistful melancholy too.
