Terry Cade - vocals
Jazz vocalist and composer Terry Cade is a Toronto native and NYC ex-pat. Considered one of Canada’s premier jazz vocalists, she has worked with such notable figures as Anne Marie Moss (Lambert, Hendricks and Moss), Meredith D’Ambrosio, Fred Stone, John Hicks, Ratzo Harris, Lou Marini Jr., Tony Moreno and Dave Restivo. Cade is hailed by the Toronto Star as “a true jazz vocalist ...extraordinary”. She is described as an iconoclast and creatively fearless: “Cade is a masterful vocalist with a clear vision for her music. In her unique approach to the standard songbook and her exquisitely crafted original songs, Cade is pushing forward the art of jazz singing — a must see!” (The Globe and Mail) Cade has recorded 2 albums under her name. The first, “Sometimes I’m Happy," was recorded in Toronto and produced by Jonathan Goldsmith. Her second album, “All in a Day’s Dream” was recorded in NYC.
Tom Reynolds - piano
Tom Reynolds, a Chicago native and Nashville ex-pat, has worked as music director and toured with Grammy-winning jazz vocal group, “Take Six," which included an HBO
House of Blues special and appearances on The Tonight Show and The Today Show. He also toured extensively as music director for Engelbert Humperdinck. In addition
touring Shania Twain, R&B artist Max Carl (from “38 Special”) and Glen Frey (from the “Eagles”), Reynolds has performed , with jazz greats Jeff Coffin and Bela Fleck, among others.
Peter Telford - bass
Peter Telford has been active on the Toronto music scene for over thirty years and his playing has been described as “magnificent” and “soulful”. He began studying classical
double bass and then pursued jazz studies with bassist David Young. Telford has gone on to establish himself as one of Toronto’s best known and in demand bassists, working with such jazz luminaries as Bernie Senensky and Pat LaBarbera.
Ben Ball - drums
Ben Ball grew up in Sarnia, Ontario and began playing drums at age thirteen. A graduate of U of T Jazz program, he completed his Masters of Music (Jazz Performance), at McGill University in 2007 and has taught jazz drums at Humber College since 2012. Ball maintains an active international touring schedule in Korea, Japan, Canada and the U.S., and has worked with musicians including: Kirk
MacDonald, Lorne Lofsky, John Patitucci, Brian Dickinson, Ted Quinlan, Mike Downes, Jae Chung, Kenji Omae and many others.
