About the artists

Since forming in 1999, Heavy Ethics has resided in obscurity on the outskirts of the Toronto jazz and rock scenes. On hiatus since 2022, they relish this opportunity to play the classics again. The band has a completed album in the can that will come out as soon as they get around to releasing it.

Rommel Reyes - piano
Christopher Norman - bass guitar
James Scott – drums

Arkose is an instrumental quintet in Toronto, Canada. Its classical, jazz, and hardcore musicians make intricate, lyrical, and intensely driving music. They are Erik Ross, Rob MacDonald, Michael 'Rosie' Rosenthal, Torrie Seager, and Jesse Dietschi.

Laniakea is a Toronto based project whose artistic vision is to unify the often disconnected technical and emotional sides of musical expression. Founded by guitarists Michael Ruggiero and Ross Au, this collaboration is the product of their musical ambitions to create art with the aim of comprehending the ephemeral nature of existence. Laniakea draws inspiration from: the odd time signatures of math-rock, the aggressiveness of modern prog and the stillness of nature. Their debut EP, “You Bring Colours” is now available everywhere.
